Overview

The Manager, Asset Protection Equipment and Technology will manage all initiatives across the organization within Supply Chain and Corporate. This includes designing, planning, and implementing projects and services within the corporate and distribution footprint. The Manager will lead and interact with leaders to facilitate, support, and align technology and equipment initiatives. This role supports Burlington’s commitment to safe and secure locations by executing systemic protocols, managing capital projects, and service agreements/repairs.

You will work with internal and external partners to define technology requirements, holding teams accountable to defined service level agreements, project timelines, and capital budget. The Manager, AP Equipment and Technology will manage the team responsible for all capital projects in AP Supply Chain and Corporate Security, including but not limited to service needs, equipment installations, existing repair and maintenance, and modifications and retrofits.

The manager ensures that projects and services are scoped and implemented through a consistent and effective process, on brand and within the overall department strategy. The goal is to implement solutions in technology and modernization for supply chain and corporate, with best-in-class safety, security, and risk reduction.

A Day In The Life
  • Leading and validating all capital projects and services for AP Supply Chain and Corporate

  • Ensuring all projects have the correct scope of work and that expectations are aligned with the overall AP technology strategy; ensuring plans track to completion on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Working closely with internal and external partners to communicate project deliverables and status updates, including hosting kick-off calls for pre- and post-project recap sessions and creating feedback loops for process improvement
  • Collaborating with external partners, vendors, and contractors to communicate expectations, timelines, deliverables, and professionalism; creating mechanisms (photo validation, virtual tours, etc.) to regularly review work products for scope alignment
  • Owning and stewarding overall project budgets, including bid processes, CERs, and purchase order agreements
  • Monitoring service contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely maintenance and repairs
  • Maintaining records of inspections, certifications, and service history; ensuring compliance with ADA, OSHA, and state-specific codes
  • Responding to service requests and coordinating emergency repairs; guiding store teams on temporary solutions and safety protocols
  • Identifying modernization/replacement needs and budgeting for capital improvements; contributing to lifecycle planning and asset replacement strategies
  • Generating performance reports, tracking KPIs, and identifying trends to improve turnaround and reduce costs
  • Supporting modernization, replacement, or installation projects by coordinating with internal teams and external contractors/vendors
  • Assisting in budgeting for maintenance and capital improvements; tracking performance metrics and preparing reports for leadership
  • Developing and managing project budgets and executing projects to meet budgets
  • Managing change order processes within budget constraints
  • Providing weekly reports on budget vs. actuals to Directors of Supply Chain AP and Corporate
  • Developing and maintaining a database of historical project costs for future budgets
  • Providing oversight and leadership on projects and services, including installations, schedules, focusing on business needs, priorities, and workload planning
  • Prioritizing and leading special projects based on immediate physical security concerns; including maintenance/repair of existing equipment or installation of new equipment/devices
  • Setting up on-site meetings as necessary; traveling to sites for scope reviews with internal and external partners, reviewing completed work, or strategizing for future program enhancements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for all emergency service tickets within AP Technology for distribution and corporate security
