What We Are Looking For
Responsible for contributing to the organization's Compliance and Risk Management programs, including planning, oversight, assurance, and continuous improvement. Ensures not only the quality of clinical and operational services, but also the integrity of the processes used to deliver them. Applies structured compliance and risk controls to strengthen consistency, safety, and quality across all aspects of the clinical environment. Supports organizational readiness, mitigates risk, and promotes adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, 7:00am-5:30pm.

Brier Clinic, San Bernardino, CA
- Participates in Compliance and Risk Management improvement efforts in all areas related to clinical service.
- Contributes to the evaluation of accidents management and patient safety in all clinical areas of SAC Health, via review of incidents and events. Analyzes and identifies event trends and/or common contributing factors; collects and analyzes data for collaboration with projects, planning, and activity monitoring.
- Performs, schedules timely audits on processes to ensure guidelines are maintained, and reviews audit results with management and provider teams.
- Provides expertise to Compliance and Risk Management department as well as the Executive Director of Nursing in advising the need for process improvements and may be asked to research, develop, and assist with the implementation of Compliance policies in the SAC Health Compliance plan.
- Utilizes experience and evaluation skills to foresee potential problems, offers insight into continuous clinical patient care improvement, strategies for optimal productivity to support fiscal goals, and opportunities for future growth.
- Review the patient's electronic medical record as needed to provide clinical analysis regarding potential deviations from the standard of care.
- Review results from audits and provide guidance as a clinical resource for process improvement.
- Provide training in areas of clinical outcome measures and goal attainment.
- Provide expertise to the Compliance and Risk Management Department for process improvements related to clinical outcome measures.
- Work with the Compliance and Risk Management department in resolving patient care concerns related to patient survey results and patient grievances.

- Education:
Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program is required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will be considered. - Licensure/Certification:
Current Registered Nursing License in CA, and current AHA CPR certification required. - Experience:
Five years of experience in healthcare as a registered nurse, with preferred background in risk management or quality improvement. EPIC certification for the module you have been hired into is required. - Essential Technical/Motor
Skills:
Ability to utilize planning software, spreadsheets, and word processing software; input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, rapport building, presentation, and documentation skills (or apparent aptitude for such), and ability to plan and organize technical and analytical work. Ability to facilitate in a group setting and utilize teamwork skills. - Essential Mental Abilities:
Strong planning, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data, processes and needs; define problems and solutions. Able to manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives. - Work Eligibility:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Must not require sponsorship for employment visas.
