Overview
Clinical Social Worker - Psychiatric Inpatient Program (PIP) at California Institution for Women – PIP, Corona, CA. This is a limited-term/possible extension or permanent position. Position number:

- Under the general direction of the Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (CF) (Supervisor) or Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, CF, conduct assessments and summarize case information to inform diagnosis, level of care, and disposition.
- Develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide assessments, group therapy, collateral conferences, and document and evaluate patients’ progress in treatment.
- Coordinate placement with community resources and the Classification and Parole Representative.

Compensation, Benefits, and Pay Differentials- This classification is subject to HAM (Hiring-Above-Minimum) Authorization with HAM rates: P $8,678; Q $9,319.
- Recruitment and Retention Bonus available for clinicians newly hired with California Correctional Health Care Services.
- Effective May 01, 2022, employees assigned to the Psychiatric Inpatient Program shall receive a pay differential equal to 15% of monthly base pay when providing direct patient care on grounds or at a facility more than 50% of the pay period.
- Eligible for a $10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend if criteria are met, and potential $20,000 total in the first year with eligibility.
- Referral bonus of $5,000 for CDCR/CCHCS employees, after 90 days of employment; pre-employment questionnaire required.
Effective July 1, 2025, PLP 2025 reduces base salary by 3% and provides 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027 for Bargaining Unit 19 employees and related classifications. Salaries do not reflect these changes in postings.
