Position: *****Ambulance Operator - Paramedic (24 hour shift)

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Benefits

San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is accepting applications for Ambulance Operator (AO) – Paramedic positions. The program provides basic and advanced medical care, patient transport services, and ambulance operations in response to emergency medical aid calls. Multiple vacancies are available throughout the County.

Salary

Competitive annual salary range: $71,518.72 – $84,963.84, including built‑in overtime pay.

Qualifications
  • Valid California Paramedic License or Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) Certification (copy must be attached).
  • Valid CPR card.
  • Valid ACLS card.
  • Conditions of Employment
    • Meet health, safety, and physical condition standards for performance of duties.
    • Maintain valid CPR and ACLS certifications.
    • Maintain valid State of California Paramedic License.
    • Obtain ICEMA Paramedic accreditation by the end of the academy and maintain thereafter.
    • Complete Ambulance Driver Taskbook by the end of the academy.
    • Possess a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance.
    • Undergo fingerprinting, background investigation, medical examination, drug test, and pre‑employment screening.
    • Work within San Bernardino County; positions are primarily at County Fire Stations.
    • Adhere to County Dress Code, which prohibits visible tattoos.
    • Capable of performing during high‑stress situations and lifting/carrying equipment and individuals.
