Ballard Rehab Hospital, located in San Bernardino, CA, is a 60‑bed rehab facility providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast‑paced and friendly environment where you get to know patients and families.

Responsible for all phlebotomy and assisting with the performance of some of the Clinical Laboratory procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist. This person will maintain patient result records, laboratory documents, log sheets, make daily charges, and chart results.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor required.

• ASCP phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Documented training in all areas of the clinical laboratory preferred.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory, hospital, or critical care setting for a minimum of one (1) year preferred.
• Ability to work with laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

The wage range for this role is estimated at $15.75 to $19.20 per hour, reflecting factors such as skill set, experience, education, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. Compensation decisions are made on a case‑by‑case basis.
