Overview
Performance, Education & Resource Centers (PERC) is recruiting Staff Training Instructors and Trainees to plan, coordinate, assess, and deliver training to TAD staff on programs such as CalWORKs, Cal Fresh, Medi‑Cal, and more. Trainees receive close supervision while acquiring skills and experience;
Instructors develop curricula, establish objectives, deliver instruction, and evaluate training effectiveness.
Staff Training Instructors and Trainees will:
- Develop curriculum and course materials, determine content, sequence, and delivery systems.
- Deliver instruction and present information to audiences of all sizes.
- Develop evaluation instruments to measure training effectiveness.
- Consult with subject‑matter experts and program staff to ensure technical accuracy.
- Education:
30 semester (or 45 quarter) units of college coursework in English, education, business/public administration, communication, organizational development, computer science, social/behavioral science, or a closely related field. A copy of legible transcripts is required if you do not possess an associate’s degree or higher. - Experience Option 1: 1 year full‑time equivalent experience supporting training, education, or organizational development activities in a professional setting.
- Experience Option 2: 2 years full‑time equivalent experience in a human/social services setting that includes conducting assessments, providing training/mentoring, or delivering business/educational presentations.
- Or: 1 year experience as a Staff Training Instructor Trainee with San Bernardino County.

Conditions of EmploymentPre‑employment background checks, fingerprinting, employment verification, physical exam, and drug test are required. Physical requirements include frequent walking and standing. A valid California Class C driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance are required, with mileage reimbursement available. San Bernardino County will not sponsor visas; applicants must provide proof of legal right to work in the U.S. as part of the hiring process.
