Overview
Immediately hiring a Warehouse Team Leader for a large company on the southside of San Antonio. The team leader supports the group leader in achieving operational goals, enforces compliance standards, promotes continuous improvement, and serves as the primary point of contact for assigned team members during the shift.
Pay is $17/hr shift is 6am-6pm, M-F.
Responsibilities- Ensure all warehouse procedures are followed.
- Ensure relative documentation is created and/or entered into the computerized system.
- Assign and monitor daily work tasks for team members.
- Review and update SOPs and FMDS boards.
- Comply with Company Internal Control, Company Quality System and Production
- Ensure group compliance with company, client, and governmental policies and regulations.
- Ensure materials are moved, stored, staged, loaded, and unloaded according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support production flow by identifying and reporting operational issues or concerns to the group leader.
- Assist with manpower adjustments to meet workload requirements throughout the shift.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing proper PPE usage, equipment operation standards, and housekeeping practices.
- Participate in safety checks, hazard identification, and corrective actions with assigned areas.
- Support implementation of internal control requirements and standards.
- Provide feedback to group leader on process improvement opportunities.
- Participate in Kaizen activities and encourage team involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for team members regarding shift assignments, questions, or concerns.
- Requires flexibility with job assignments and work schedules.
- Conduct daily meetings with Team Members.
- Ensure team members perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues with equipment.
- Ensure accurate completion of all required logs, checklists, and reports for assigned areas.
- Provide hands-on assistance with tasks when necessary to support workflow.
- Crosstrain in multiple operational areas to provide coverage as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years warehouse experience with one (1) year supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment required.
- Must have strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must have excellent team building and conflict resolution skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and warehouse management systems.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to use computers, scanners, and related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Work performed primarily on the warehouse floor with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and occasional outdoor conditions.
- Requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational demands.
