This position reports to the Manager – Warehouse. Driver – Class “B” is responsible for making daily deliveries of Company product to customers using Company-provided vehicle. This position is also responsible for operating and maintaining a Company “pump truck”, delivering bulk oil and/or other merchandise to customers, conducting pre and post‑trip inspections, maintaining a daily travel log, and handling shipping papers and invoices.

• Transporting bulk oil and miscellaneous stock via the “pump truck”
• Performing pre trip and post trip inspections which include checking gasoline, oil, water, and tires, and filling as required.
• Recording any malfunctions of equipment on the Inspection Sheet which is reviewed by the supervisor and Safety Manager
• Loading and unloading trucks both manually and using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
• Maintaining daily log sheets which include entering miles and times at each stop
• Maintaining delivery, truck and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgements, recording tracking information, completing driver log and truck performance forms
• Operating the multi‑tank system on the trucks
• Following safety measures while filling customer tanks
• Handling money from customers and making change if necessary
• Presenting a good image of the company through proper dress and attitude, and maintaining a safe operation and clean appearance in compliance with organizational policy, procedure, and standards, as well as state, local and DOT driving rules and regulations
• Maintaining a clean vehicle, both exterior and interior
• Maintaining a satisfactory attendance record
• Keeping shelves, pallet area, work stations, and shipping supply areas neat in the warehouse to ensure a safe and clean work environment
• Complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules, and regulations

Skill Requirements

• Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission
• Courteous treatment of and assistance to customers
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury and damage to self and others when operating a company vehicle
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Work involves continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
• Work involves climbing and descending stairs frequently
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. of weight on a continuous basis
• Ability to read and write in English
• Must successfully complete background check, criminal history check
• Must pass a physical, human performance evaluation, and a drug test
• Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values
• Must maintain regular and prompt attendance

Education Requirements
:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred

Certification Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Texas driver’s license
• Must have CDL license with a tanker endorsement to operate Pump truck
• Must have a clear driving record for previous 3 years
