Position Title: Head Golf Coach-HS Seasonal Temporary

St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory high school for young men and women, is seeking a Head Golf Coach for the spring 2026 season (February to April 2026). This seasonal part-time position is responsible for growing the golf team into a competitive program. The position is expected to coach within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity;

Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Head Golf Coach reports to the Athletic Director.

This position is not benefits eligible.

• Organize, prepare for and lead productive sessions in a positive environment that promotes self-esteem, teamwork and pride for St. Anthony Yellow Jackets.
• Assess players' skills, monitor players during competition and practice; determine game strategy.
• Organize, direct, and supervise student-athletes during individual and small-group practice activities/exercises, as well as games.
• Work within golf team budget.
• Communicate regularly with team, parents and athletic directors.
• Attend all practices and games throughout the season; game attendance may require travel based on schedule.
• Model good sportsmanship behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials and spectators.
• Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
• Collaborate with Athletic Director to ensure eligibility, inventory, and related paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
• Participate in special activities including parent’s night and athletic banquet.
• Attend staff meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching and performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills to teach multiple skills, and strategies necessary to field a competitive program.
• Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, and techniques of golf.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to remain professional and composed with students, parents, staff, or opposing teams.
• Ability to consistently follow the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with school administrators, teachers, parents and students.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two (2) years of experience at the high school or college level as assistant or head golf coach, or two (2) years of golf coaching experience at the club level. Note that collegiate golf playing experience will be considered.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience as a player at the collegiate level.

CPR certified or ability to obtain CPR certification within 15 days of hire.

Typical head coach hours include:

• Regular practice hours Mon-Fri after school (school days only) from 3:30-5:30 pm.
• All games, both weekday and weekend, are mandatory.
• Special activities requiring attendance based on schedule (athletic banquet, senior night, parents night).

• Ability to lift sports equipment weighing up to 40 lbs waist high.
• Ability to move about to demonstrate plays and drills during practice and to sideline coach during games.
• Ability to actively engage in games and events for extended periods.
• Ability to move about campus and event venues to engage faculty, staff, parents and students.
