The Group Exercise Instructor will lead and motivate members in a group environment through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength, and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised. The role includes educating members on various aspects of fitness.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and delivering group fitness classes based on industry standards and approved formats, adhering to scheduled times.
  • Instructing participants on effective workout methods, proper techniques, and modifications for all fitness levels.
  • Providing clear verbal instructions and maintaining a motivating atmosphere.
  • Coaching and motivating participants to achieve fitness goals, monitoring for signs of injury or overexertion.
  • Interacting with participants, answering questions, and maintaining a positive exercise experience.
  • Ensuring correct form and offering modifications as needed.
  • Maintaining professionalism, representing Gold's Gym appropriately, and adhering to dress code.
  • Delivering classes as scheduled and coordinating substitutes to avoid cancellations.
  • Using appropriate, legally purchased music and ensuring equipment functionality.
  • Keeping the exercise area clean and organized, and reporting repairs promptly.
  • Completing incident reports if necessary and recording attendance and hours worked accurately.
  • Attending staff meetings and training sessions to improve skills.
  • Upholding company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.
