Back End Developer (Mid) – San Antonio, TX Responsibilities

Provides subject matter proficiency for work described in the task. Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties. Requires expertise in specialty areas.

Shall perform engineering tasks for back-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, developing back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations, RESTful API development and modification, database management, and data model development and optimization.

This role is not well suited for candidates who require daily task lists, close supervision, or highly structured workdays.

• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages (see section 4.2) with the ability to apply several tool suites related to Dev Sec Ops , microservices and containers.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests and results to verify system operability and compliance with project standards and requirements.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• 3 years of experience performing back-end web design and development.
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development and communication, and system integrations.
• 3 years of experience with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Red Hat Linux.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and Git Lab.
• 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following:

• Postgress
• RDS
• Exodus
• Python
• Luna
• Java
• Docker
• OpenJDK
• Ansible
• Packer
• Maven
• Kubernetes
• Red Hat

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure and prioritize competing assignments with tight deadlines in environments with frequent interruptions.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment and drive to meet or exceed objectives.
• Be self-motivated, organized, and capable of proactively identifying, sourcing, and handling multiple initiatives at one given time to successful completion.
• Be a team player and willing to work in a fast paced, fluid environment.

• Experience using Agile Test-Driven development.
• Experience integrating into DoW Dev Sec Ops  environments.
• 5 years of experience with CI/CD software development.
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
• Experience structuring data so it can be integrated into machine learning technologies or AI capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 7 years of experience in the functional area.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be eligible or have an active TS/SCI clearance.

• Location – JBSA-Lackland, TX or Fort Meade, MD
• Schedule – Remote (Hybrid) No more than 50 miles from office.
