QA Automation Engineer - India - EOR

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a highly skilled QA Automation engineer with strong experience in website, mobile automation and POS automation. This role will focus on building and maintaining automation frameworks that validate end-to-end customer ordering workflows across mobile apps, websites, and POS systems. The ideal candidate combines software engineering skills with QA automation expertise and has hands‑on experience automating iOS, Android, web applications, and device-integrated systems.

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for:
Mobile applications (iOS and Android), Websites and ordering portals, and POS workflows. Build mobile automation test suites using Appium. Develop web automation using modern tools such as Playwright or Selenium. Automate POS ordering workflows and store integrations. Create API automation tests for backend services. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Maintain automation stability, reliability, and execution speed. Collaborate with developers, product teams, and Dev Ops engineers.

Participate in test strategy, test design, and automation planning.

• 5–8+ years of QA automation or SDET experience
• Strong programming skills in one of:
  Java, JavaScript / Type Script, Python, or Groovy
• Hands‑on experience automating:
  Mobile apps (iOS and Android), Web applications, and POS workflows
• Experience with:
  Appium (mobile automation) and Playwright or Selenium (web automation)
• Experience with API automation
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with automation framework design patterns (POM, modular frameworks)
• Experience testing digital ordering platforms or retail/QSR systems
• Experience with React Native mobile apps
• Experience using device farms (Browser Stack, AWS Device Farm)
• Knowledge of Git-based development workflows
• Familiarity with MCP‑style test design and automation workflows
• Experience using Generative AI tools for automation development and using AI‑assisted coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
• POS systems and store ordering workflows, Menu and pricing systems, and Payment integrations
• End‑to‑end order lifecycle validation
