This position supports County Farm Bureau (CFB) offices by providing prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to earn members’ and policyholders’ trust and satisfaction, while supporting County Farm Bureau operations, handling membership and policy transactions, and performing other licensed Field Customer Care Representative duties as directed. The position will be a regional trainer for employees requiring additional training assistance. This role emphasizes high-quality service to members, consistent support to CFB President and Board members, and promotes agricultural initiatives.
Regular travel to multiple counties is required for training and as a substitute for absent staff.
Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to members and insureds in person, by phone, and through electronic channels. Ensure every interaction reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence in customer care.
Assist applicants with membership applications, create new memberships, assist with renewals, process payments and changes, and update records electronically.
Insurance SupportSupport new and change quote production, prepare insurance applications, secure required signatures and payments, and submit them through appropriate channels. Assist with insurance claim initiation and status updates.
Monitor the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) call queue to ensure adequate staffing.
Assist with the testing and development of new software systems and training materials.
Administrative SupportAssist CFB President and Board members with office and clerical tasks to further CFB's mission, including agricultural promotion activities.
Regularly monitor and address reports like the Delinquent Membership and Policy Activity reports, contacting members for renewals, data updates, and policy transactions as needed.
Manage appointment scheduling, maintain calendar reminders, and coordinate deadlines.
Training and TravelProvide training and assistance for Field Customer Care Representative I, Field Customer Care Representative II, and Field Customer Care Representative III positions in various locations. This will include monitoring and reporting their progress to the County Administrative Support and Training Coordinator and the CAAP Supervisor.
Lead mentorship efforts and support team leadership initiatives.
Develop and implement a structured mentorship program to support the growth and development of FCCR I, FCCR II, and FCCR III team members.
Travel regularly to various counties to support training needs and cover staffing gaps in the Field Customer Care Representative role.
Collaborate with management to address specific training needs or issues.
Review and recommend updates to existing training materials based on changes in regulations, insurance products, or company policies.
Assist in the development of individual learning plans for employees.
General DutiesMaintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information related to county, member, and insurance records.
Comply with the Certified Fleet Operator requirements of the Driving and Safety Policy.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONSA bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required for this position.
General Lines Property and Casualty Insurance license (or obtain within 3 months of employment).
Complete Associate in Insurance designation through The Institutes. Proficient typing skills (minimum 45 WPM, max 5% error rate).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven organizational and multitasking abilities; work well independently and in teams.
Willing and able to learn new skills and refine existing skills as needed.
Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire, which would not disqualify the employee from driving for business purposes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequent computer, telephone, and standard office equipment use for up to six hours daily.
Ability to sit and concentrate for extended periods; occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
Capable of lifting items up to 30 lbs.
Regular travel by car or public transportation.
WORKING CONDITIONSOccasional long and irregular hours.
Work to be conducted in an office environment owned or leased by the company.
