Home Study/Assessment Writer – Endeavors

This is a 1099 contracted position, similar to a part‑time role. Pay range is $300–$400 per study. Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish fluency) are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for a subcontractor to complete Kinship Home Assessments for children under the Department of Family and Protective Services. A BA or BS in Social Sciences (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology) is preferred, but candidates with any college degree and strong writing skills will also be considered.

• Complete orientation training and become familiar with DFPS and contractor forms, templates, procedures, and guidelines.
• Prepare for assessments by reviewing the DFPS referral packet and discussing focus areas with the Child Placing Manager (CPM).
• Complete kinship assessment assignments.
• Schedule and conduct interviews with all family members.
• Write comprehensive assessments in the approved format and style.
• Submit assessment drafts to CPM for review by the due date; correct, edit, and resubmit within 24 hours of receiving feedback.
• Maintain ongoing communication with CPM regarding interview progress, concerns, and assessment status.
• Submit accurate invoices for completed assessments promptly.
• Receive payment per assessment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: No prior assessment writing experience is required, but it is preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
• Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the employer.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Vehicle: Must have daily access to a vehicle.
• Other: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations as business needs dictate.
