Job Overview

This position supports cable installation projects in the San Antonio area, including 2 west side projects, 1 near the Rim, and 1 in Kerrville.

• Pull cable and oversee conduit installation and wire pulling.
• Assist Tech 2 as needed.
• Run and handle materials.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Climb ladders safely.
• Layout and install wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles and other devices.
• Build closets: mount and install backboards, cross‑connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g., terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).

• Cable installation and punchdown experience.
• Proficiency with tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Expert level experience in cable installation.

Contract to hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay range: $19.00 – $23.00/hr.
