Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and secure sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects.
- Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications.
- Work with a variety of duct materials, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Ensure proper sealing and insulation of duct systems to meet industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure proper system installation.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets local building codes and HVAC standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal duct installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of HVAC ductwork installation techniques and best practices.
- Experience working with various hand and power tools used in sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass background check.
- Familiarity with local HVAC codes and regulations.
- Experience with welding and soldering sheet metal components.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
