Job Summary IES Residential is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Plumbing Supervisor to lead residential plumbing operations across multiple job sites in San Antonio, Texas. This leadership role involves supervising field crews, ensuring high-quality plumbing installations, and coordinating closely with project stakeholders to keep timelines, safety, and code compliance on track. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential plumbing, experience managing teams, and is familiar with Texas plumbing regulations and inspection standards.

This position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple active construction sites simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day plumbing operations at residential new construction job sites throughout Texas. Assign and manage plumbing crews; monitor attendance, productivity, workmanship quality, and job progress. Interpret blueprints, site plans, and job specifications; ensure proper layout and pipe placement. Verify all plumbing systems meet Texas state and local codes, safety standards, and job specifications. Coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain project timelines.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to field crews. Order materials and manage inventory across multiple job sites to avoid delays. Perform routine quality assurance checks and ensure timely completion of work. Maintain jobsite safety through regular safety meetings, jobsite audits, and enforcement of OSHA and IES safety practices. Mentor and train apprentices and journeymen to advance their skills and licensing goals.

Document work progress, incidents, material usage, and labor tracking using mobile tools and reporting systems.

Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years of residential plumbing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Advanced knowledge of rough-in, top-out, and finish plumbing for single-family and/or multi-family construction projects. Familiarity with Texas plumbing codes, permitting, and inspection processes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple crews and priorities. Proficient with digital tools (mobile apps, email, scheduling platforms). Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a strong plus. Preferred Texas Journeyman or Master Plumber License. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. Experience supervising multiple job sites or subdivisions simultaneously.

Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, bend, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds in active construction environments. Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, elevated areas, and tight spaces as required. Ability to work outdoors in Texas climate conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and varying weather conditions. Work Environment This position primarily operates in active residential construction sites throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas.

The role requires frequent travel between job sites and regular interaction with field personnel, builders, inspectors, and project management teams. The work environment includes exposure to construction noise, dust, uneven terrain, and outdoor weather conditions. Safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) are required and strictly enforced. License Required Yes
