Field Service Technician​/Industrial Mechanic

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the San Antonio, TX area. Equipment includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment found in large retail and industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used with deep fryers. This position utilizes a company vehicle regionally and requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license.

The position is primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours a week. Vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and paid training are provided.

Starting Pay Range: $20-$25

• Have strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose, repair, and complete both service calls and scheduled PMs on light industrial equipment.
• Provide customer service by performing on-location preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Visually inspect, test, and listen to machines to locate malfunctions; dismantle parts to detect wear or misalignment.
• Install new or repaired parts; clean and lubricate machinery components.
• Organize repairs and PMs in similar locations; keep records of work orders, parts, supplies, and daily agenda.
• Submit daily work orders, timecards, parts orders, and all required paperwork; treat company equipment responsibly and follow PM guidelines.

• Travel can be up to an average of 300 miles per day.
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Exposure to moving parts, electrical hazards, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Work mainly Monday-Friday; weekends and after-hours work possible with emergency rates. On-call ends at 11 am EST on weekends and holidays.
• Observe safety procedures; report unsafe conditions; use equipment properly.
• Maintain excellent attendance, respond promptly to service requests, follow instructions, and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving skills.
