Maintenance Technician - San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic position supports our business by performing installation, maintenance, and repair of plant support equipment and systems, including preventive maintenance per equipment operating manuals and schedules. Duties include dyno‑to‑engine stand alignments, dyno rebuild, installation and removal of components, and use of hand tools, power tools and precision measuring devices. The role requires the ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 49 pounds and respond to emergency repair calls during off‑duty hours.

Shift/Schedule

Monday – Friday, days with overtime and weekends when required.

What you’ll do:
  • Repair, install and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including oily water separator, dynamometer, blowers, pumps, filters, fuel lines, air compressors, HVAC, humidified air system, boilers, chillers, ducting, cooling towers, and water systems in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Install, repair and maintain engine testing laboratory air exhaust systems.
  • Provide new test stand installation support. Modify or repair existing stands using hand tools and power equipment; perform plumbing for fuel, air and water systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Carry out the above responsibilities and any others assigned while adhering to the Company’s Safety, Quality and Ethics Policies, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, exercising good judgment, common sense and diplomacy.
Minimum

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Preferred trade school experience in pipe‑fitting, machine shop, mechanical maintenance or related trade.
  • Customer‑focused and quality‑driven.
  • Team player with a “can‑do” attitude.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and compliance with all company, city and state regulations.
  • Ability to respond to emergency repair calls during off‑duty hours.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 49 pounds.
