Maintenance Technician Sr

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and ability to make decisions on equipment repairs and process requisitions for parts. All other decision making through Supervisor.
• Electrical Schematic
• Perform precise mechanical adjustments and repairs and dismantle devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Rebuild mechanical parts and equipment.
• Implement preventive maintenance plan for facility and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment
• Communicate with appropriate production personnel regarding mechanical problems and provide technical assistance as required.
• Detect and report any unusual conditions or defective equipment supervisor
• Evaluate and make recommendations for machine improvement and upgrades.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly
• Understand the grounding requirements for electrical panels, panel doors, electrical covers and guards.
• Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
• Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
• Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Inside and outside environments apply.
• Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.
• Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat or explosives.
• Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 10-14 years mechanical and/or electrical experience maintaining industrial equipment or equivalent
• 1ST shift plus overtime or off shifts as required
• PC skills/aptitude in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Internet Explorer, preferred
• Safety and OSHA awareness
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives, preferred
• Welding Skills, preferred
• Basic Fabricating Skills, preferred
• Operates Forklift and Scissor lift as required
