HVAC Service Tech; Commercial

Flo-Rite Mechanical is flourishing, and we're in search of an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our family and play an integral role in the growth of the HVAC Service department. You will have the opportunity to perform troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, installation, consultation, design, and estimation for a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systems per the unique needs of our customers.

• Performs electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on large commercial HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance including but not limited to belt adjustments, oil and grease equipment, brush tubes, clean cooling towers, etc.
• Install and connect HVAC equipment, including ductwork, piping, and electrical wiring.
• Leverage preventive maintenance and system operations experience to accurately diagnose and advise on service requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (layout, location, operation of the systems).
• Responsible for reporting preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
• Suggest additional services that are beneficial to customer.
• Ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.

• 5+ years Commercial HVAC Field experience.
• Ability to work in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), climbing/working at elevated heights, and capable of lifting items 50+lbs.
• State of Texas licensing or willingness to acquire
• Familiar with Microsoft Products and computer skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Pass a national criminal background check.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.

• HVAC Trade School Program/Certification
• EPA Certification
• State of Texas licensing or willingness to acquire.
• Experience maintenancing and/or rebuilding commercial Chillers is a huge plus and would warrant premium compensation.

• $30 - $40 per hour.
