Job Summary:The Security Systems Technician I must learn and possess the skills required to function as a contributing member of a technical team. The SS Tech I will be able to pull cable and have some experience installing security systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Install security systems (card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings.
- Assist in the completion of all IES COMMUNICATIONS paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
- Adhere to and participate in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in commercial security systems or related telecommunications field.
- Ability to learn Company and industry codes.
- Proficiency with the listed tools (hand tools, cable stripper, insulated crimping tool, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Skill to interpret blueprints, specifications and project documents.
- Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
- Meet company minimum driving standards.
- License:
Minimum 0–2 license required.
Minimum salary $19.00/Hr. Max salary $21.00/Hr.
