TIG Welder and Tool and Die Technician
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated individual responsible for inspecting and maintaining various dies throughout the plant. This position involves operating an overhead crane to move dies to the shop and conducting inspections on both mechanical and electrical components. The role includes performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on cracked or malfunctioning dies.
Responsibilities- Inspect and maintain different dies throughout the plant.
- Operate overhead crane to move dies to the shop.
- Conduct inspections on mechanical and electrical components of dies.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on non-working or incorrectly cutting dies.
- Utilize TIG welding skills on stainless steel for grinding and minor repairs.
- Train into a Tool and Die Technician role, leveraging TIG welding experience.
- Experience with TIG welding, especially on stainless steel.
- Tooling or Die experience.
- Familiarity with fabrication of guards and racks.
- Experience with preventive maintenance or any dies maintenance.
- Proficiency in operating overhead cranes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with TIG welders with or without a foot pedal.
- Experience with grinders and surface grinding.
- Knowledge of both electrical and mechanical components.
- Willingness to learn and be trained in die maintenance.

Work EnvironmentTig Welders will train on the first shift for 6-8 weeks. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, on a two-week rotating shift: 6am-4:30pm (flexible to 6pm) and 6pm-4:30am (flexible to 6am).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAN ANTONIO, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.43 - $20.43/hr.
