Responsible for complete and satisfactory installation of residential and/or light commercial HVAC equipment and accessories. Communicates with customers to answer questions, resolves problems, and ensures customer satisfaction. Promotes products and services; trains other installers; assists in audits, supervision, and planning.
Key Responsibilities- Install HVAC equipment and accessories in customer homes.
- Install heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and accessories per company and manufacturer specifications; perform limited diagnostics.
- Design, fabricate, and install required ducts and duct fittings.
- Perform system start‑ups and component testing.
- Deliver excellent customer service and sustain high satisfaction levels.
- Promote products and services to customers; document replacement sales leads.
- Deliver and remove equipment needed for installation work.
- Maintain company property, vehicles, and tools; complete accurate paperwork; collect payment.
- Represent the company professionally and ethically.
- Maintain a clean installation vehicle in line with the company image.
- Follow standard procedures; return defective warranty parts; replenish vehicle stock; complete material requisition forms.
- Assist with site supervision, planning, estimating, and quality audits.
- Train other installers in technical skills and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Report unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards immediately.
- Report legislative and company policy contraventions immediately.
- Correct substandard acts or conditions within area of control.
- Use and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Never remove or render ineffective safety guards, devices, or clothing.
- Comply with general rules as prescribed by company program(s).
- Operate devices or equipment as prescribed by company program(s).
- Participate in safety initiatives, teams, or committees.
- Report all injuries or incidents immediately.
- Provide input on developing safety initiatives and plans.

- Work in compliance with applicable legislative requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 5+ years HVAC technical training certification required.
- Valid licensing or certification for federal, state, provincial, or local laws in work area.
- EPA and safety certifications required.
- Proficiency in fundamentals of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment and related accessories.
- Advanced skills installing HVAC equipment and related accessories.
- Proficiency in layout and installation requirements of duct work and duct fittings.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool operation.
- Advanced wiring diagram reading and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in startup and balancing airflow; belt and pulley alignment.
