Make Ready Technician

Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m. (occasional weekends as needed)

About the Role

The ARC is seeking a skilled Make Ready Technician to prepare and maintain residential units, ensuring they are safe, clean, and move-in ready. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, values teamwork, and enjoys a hands-on role with a variety of maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all make-ready and vacant unit tasks on schedule.

  • Rekey and replace locks as needed.

  • Perform general plumbing repairs (toilets, faucets, garbage disposals) and basic electrical work (switches, ceiling fans, outlets).

  • Service appliances, flooring, window treatments, and finishes.

  • Replace light bulbs and lighting components inside and outside the property.

  • Complete maintenance service requests and work orders following company procedures.

  • Conduct inspections to ensure units meet safety and appearance standards.

  • Clean up work areas thoroughly after each job.

  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

  • Follow all company safety and OSHA standards.

  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.

  • Maintain professional appearance and wear company uniform while on duty.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (property maintenance, construction, or make-ready work).

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Willing to work overtime or weekends as needed.
