Job Title:Aircraft Electrician
Job Description
As an Aircraft Electrician, you will be responsible for performing avionics troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications to the avionics and electrical systems of F/A-18 aircraft. Your role will include upgrades to the Radar Package, Communications/Comm Sec equipment, and other potential enhancements.
Responsibilities- Conduct avionics troubleshooting for F/A-18 aircraft.
- Install and repair avionics and electrical systems.
- Perform maintenance and modifications on aircraft electrical systems.
- Execute upgrades to Radar Package and Communications/Comm Sec equipment.
- Work with fiber optic cables and installations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring harnesses.
- 4 - 7 years of depot/heavy maintenance experience on aircraft electrical systems.
- Experience with F-18 aircraft is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Avionics systems and installation.
- Expertise in operational-level maintenance (O-Level Maintenance).
- Eligibility for SECRET clearance.
- Must be eligible for Boeing badge (no terminations on record with Boeing).
Skills & Qualifications
- Navy Ratings of AE or AT are highly preferred.
- Experience with Fighter Jets is preferred.
- NAV - Magic Box experience is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThe position requires flexibility to work on either 1st or 2nd shift. You will primarily work inside a hangar, with some tasks on the flight line. The hangar is non-climate controlled, but you will not be exposed to outside elements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
