Job Summary: Westland is seeking an Assistant Plumber to efficiently undertake a variety of plumbing tasks, including fixing leakages and installing water, waste, vents, and gas lines. The Plumber performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on properties, mechanical systems, equipment, and utility systems.

• Assist with fixing leaks and installing water, waste, vents, and gas lines
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on plumbing, mechanical, equipment, and utility systems
• Read technical manuals and drawings
• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures
• Diagnose plumbing problems and implement solutions
• Repair or replace damaged parts and locate water line leaks or clogs
• Keep detailed notes and create work reports documenting projects

• 1+ years of prior experience in maintenance or a related field
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certificate in plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, or other technical studies preferred

Work Hours:

40 hours/week plus on-call after regular hours for emergencies
