We are seeking an Underground Locator to join our team in San Antonio, TX
. This role operates drilling equipment to complete assigned projects and perform drilling in both standard and high‑risk areas with live utilities.
- Full‑time position

- Compensation: $20 – $28 per hour, DOE

- Operate drilling equipment to complete assigned projects
- Complete drilling in standard and high‑risk areas with live utilities
- Maintain a working knowledge of utility depths and placements
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, and tools are properly maintained and secured safely
- Review field designs and communicate discrepancies to supervisors for change orders
- Properly document all work, including pothole and bore logs
- Perform conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement, and fiber/coax placement as needed
- Complete general restoration and cleanup
- Adhere to safety as the top priority, complying with internal standards and all government orders
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of underground drilling and trenching experience
- Telecommunications construction experience a plus
- Ability to travel daily and work outside of standard business hours, including overtime, holidays, evenings, and weekends in all seasons
- Excellent customer service, time‑management, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
- High energy, motivation, and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and shift between tasks without interruption
- Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in tight spaces or elevated positions, bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing in all weather conditions year‑round
- Ability to safely work and navigate diverse terrains while managing equipment, safety gear, and tools
- Must provide a valid government‑issued photo ; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
- Class A CDL preferred
- Passing of all pre‑employment requirements (MVR, background check, drug screen)
