We are seeking an Underground Locator to join our team in San Antonio, TX
. This role operates drilling equipment to complete assigned projects and perform drilling in both standard and high‑risk areas with live utilities.

• Operate drilling equipment to complete assigned projects
• Complete drilling in standard and high‑risk areas with live utilities
• Maintain a working knowledge of utility depths and placements
• Ensure vehicles, equipment, and tools are properly maintained and secured safely
• Review field designs and communicate discrepancies to supervisors for change orders
• Properly document all work, including pothole and bore logs
• Perform conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement, and fiber/coax placement as needed
• Complete general restoration and cleanup
• Adhere to safety as the top priority, complying with internal standards and all government orders
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 3+ years of underground drilling and trenching experience
• Telecommunications construction experience a plus
• Ability to travel daily and work outside of standard business hours, including overtime, holidays, evenings, and weekends in all seasons
• Excellent customer service, time‑management, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
• High energy, motivation, and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and shift between tasks without interruption
• Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in tight spaces or elevated positions, bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing in all weather conditions year‑round
• Ability to safely work and navigate diverse terrains while managing equipment, safety gear, and tools
• Must provide a valid government‑issued photo ; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
• Class A CDL preferred
• Passing of all pre‑employment requirements (MVR, background check, drug screen)
