Marksman Security is looking for qualified candidates to join our team of dedicated and compassionate security officers and firefighters.

Security Officer $17.50 p/hr.

1st Shift

Wednesday thru Friday (5am - 5pm)

Saturday thru Tuesdays Off

S ecurity Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from premises when deemed necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and/or other criminal behavior
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, possession of prohibited items)
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report safety or security concerns in a timely manner
• Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Enforce and ensure compliance with all rules/regulations
• Other duties as determined by management

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid state licensing, if applicable
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• Physical capability to perform duties (e.g., standing, walking, climbing stairs, etc.)
