SS&E owns and operates the San Antonio Spurs, Austin Spurs, and San Antonio FC, and manages day‑to‑day operations of the Frost Bank Center, Toyota Field, and STAR Complex.

Building Security Guards will maintain established security policies and procedures that protect Spurs Sports & Entertainment franchises, Toyota Field and its assets, employees, and guests. The role includes controlling access into the Frost Bank Center and its secured areas, patrolling facilities, responding to alarms, and ensuring a safe environment.

All SS&E Security personnel are required to obtain a Level II Non‑Commissioned Security License from the Texas Department of Public Safety within the first 90 days of employment. The pay increase is contingent on obtaining a Level II Non‑Commissioned Security License and fulfilling 90 days of employment. Failure to obtain the license within the first 90 days may result in termination of employment.

• Regulate and control access and entry checkpoints to restricted and secure areas (e.g., event level, receiving dock, locker rooms, and other sensitive areas).
• Monitor, patrol, and respond to alarms and emergency situations inside and outside the Frost Bank Center and grounds, providing quick, professional, and effective response in security and/or safety related situations.
• Serve and interact with guests attending Frost Bank Center games and events, providing information and directions to inquiries from the public or Frost Bank Center employees, and notifying the proper authorities or personnel as situations dictate.
• Complete effective communication, both verbally and written where appropriate, in situations where reports are generated or direction is needed, and document critical information for incident/accident reports.
• Conduct security screening and bag searches to ensure authorized people enter the arena and no prohibited items are being brought in.
• Consistently and appropriately solve problems, identify, diagnose, and resolve safety concerns, effectively generate safety awareness and training, and enforce guidelines to reduce unsafe practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the security field.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Security License and Certification while in position.
• Good verbal and written communication and team building skills.
• Self‑starter with initiative and exceptional, sound decision‑making skills.
• Ability to meet dress standards, reflecting the SS&E brand.
• Ability to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR Certification / Basic First Aid preferred.
• Knowledge of law enforcement or experience in the entertainment industry, security, military or law enforcement preferred.

• Able to lift and carry 25+ pounds as needed.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions for the duration of the assigned shift.
• Must possess the ability to meet dress standards, reflecting the SS&E brand.
• Must be able to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
