Security Officer 1 (Unarmed Security) Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor and patrol facilities, provide customer service, and assist with disruptive incidents and emergency services.
• Conduct personal protection and traffic/parking control as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

High school graduate or GED required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Two to three years in a security role, law enforcement, or military background.

• Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer with Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (Basic Life Support) on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department.

• Texas Security Officer Commission Level III.
