Biomedical Equipment Technician

As a Bio-Medical Equipment Repair Technician JG5 (Depot Repair San Antonio), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Perform medical VAC equipment repairs, upgrades, retrofits, preventive maintenance, and software updates on internal and external customer medical VAC equipment (minimum 1–2 VAC medical products).
• Perform post medical VAC equipment repair functional testing capturing accurate results on device history record/checklist form.
• Perform accurate spare part consumption quantity and traceability post repair in designated electronic repair application & documentation where applicable.
• Accurately perform diagnostic and medical VAC equipment repair quote to support customer owned medical VAC equipment actions.
• Perform offline spare part repair and processing (pump, hanger arm, touchscreen, etc.) as requested by site leadership.
• Support projects as necessary to support testing hardware, software, rework, product conversions for external department teams.
• Perform salvaging tasks of medical VAC equipment and spare part projects supporting business goals.
• Successfully deliver production performance expectations including but not limited to productivity, cost of repair, and first pass yield.
• Successfully demonstrate and support values, code of conduct & compliance.
• Successfully demonstrate and support a positive safety environment.
• Clearly demonstrate communication and team engagement skills.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Participate daily in meetings with site leadership.
• Notify supervisory personnel of any medical VAC equipment repair difficulties and/or other opportunity challenges.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Minimum Associate’s degree in Electrical, Engineering, or Electronics

OR

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start) and two (2) years of combined experience in manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic assembly/repair in a private, public, government, or military environment

• Experience with soldering/desoldering electronic equipment
• Background in servicing and/or manufacturing medical equipment or production environment
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills
