About the Role

We’re seeking an Event Sales Representative responsible for interacting directly with homeowners at community events, festivals, and home shows across the area. Your goal is to generate leads and appointments for our sales team while representing the brand professionally and enthusiastically.

This entry‑level, part‑time position offers paid training and a chance to build valuable skills in sales, negotiation, strategic planning, and closing techniques. It’s a great opportunity to explore your creative communication side while having fun with the third‑largest home remodeling company in the country.

We value customer‑facing experience in any industry. While backgrounds in sales, hospitality, retail, food service, education, or service are common examples, we welcome experience from any role that involves strong communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills. Direct event marketing experience is a plus but is not required.

Typical Event Day Overview
  • Travel to events such as home shows, community festivals, craft shows, and other local events with high foot traffic.
  • Set up branded booths or displays, including signage, promotional materials, and product samples.
  • Engage attendees by approaching shoppers, initiating conversations, and introducing the company’s products or services.
  • Capture leads by gathering customer information, answering questions, and qualifying leads for follow‑up.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor to positively represent the brand.
  • Stand and interact continuously for up to 8 hours, with most events occurring on weekends or evenings.
Core Role Responsibilities
  • Communicate enthusiastically with a customer audience to generate complimentary in‑home appointments for homeowners.
  • Create on‑site event buzz and promote brand knowledge by following prescribed procedures and messaging.
  • Use qualifying sheets and scripts to resolve customer questions and concerns.
  • Adjust on‑site event marketing and sales tactics according to current KPI targets and results as needed.
  • Daily set‑up, maintenance, operation, and presentation of on‑site event marketing programs to ensure maximum exposure of the brand.
  • Work in an event environment requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Be present at events on time to set up, maintain, and break down marketing collateral across various local venues.
  • Work a schedule consisting of weekdays and weekends (approximately 10–30 hours per week, with at least two weekends per month).
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods (up to 6 hours during events).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in sales, lead generation, or a similar role.
  • Ability to present information effectively to customers and employees in one‑on‑one, small, and large group settings.
  • Fluency in a second language is considered an asset.

  • Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) during events and be available for evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary to travel to and from event locations.
  • Availability to work approximately 10–30 hours per week, with a minimum of two weekends per month.
