Position Overview

We are seeking a driven, relationship‑oriented Outside Sales Representative to expand our presence in the San Antonio market. This role focuses on identifying bid opportunities, building strong customer partnerships, and delivering tailored access and construction solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Proactively prospect within the assigned territory to identify and pursue new bid opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, developers, mechanical contractors, manufacturing facilities, architects, and government agencies to generate ongoing opportunities.
  • Clearly communicate how our access and construction solutions meet customer specifications—and highlight additional needs customers may not yet have identified.

Sales Process Execution

  • Utilize Salesforce to identify, track, and manage all sales activity, opportunities, and bid documentation.
  • Review, qualify, and properly tag incoming leads from Construct Connect into Salesforce.

Estimating & Proposal Development

  • Partner with sales managers and construction managers to develop complete quote packages
  • Visit active and prospective job sites to gather required information for estimate development.

Prequalification & Market Expansion

  • Coordinate with the prequalification team to register the company with new customers and secure placement on bidder lists for upcoming projects.
  • Evaluate bid opportunities for potential upsell across the full range of access solutions

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in scaffold and work‑access sales, particularly involving labor‑based contracts.
  • Demonstrated success in cost estimating scaffold or work‑access projects.
  • Hands‑on experience with Salesforce in a construction‑based configuration.
  • Prior work experience within the construction industry.

Preferred

  • Background in engineering, drafting, or construction estimating.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
