Butcher/Meat Cutter Job San Antonio area,Texas USA,Retail

We are looking for precise knife skills for cutting barbacoa and pork which focuses on removing excess fat, silver skin, and tough connective tissues, while preserving the desired amount of fat for tenderness and flavor. This involves a combination of knife skills, careful trimming, and understanding meat structure.

This position is off of SE Loop 410 and Presa. Work hours are from 6AM-2:30PM Monday-Friday, day but you must arrive by 5:45 AM to dress and enter the clean room.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are handled and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality.
Operate cutting tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Package meat products for display or sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area. Sanitizing all areas of the facility.
Cooking large batches to be packaged and sold wholesale.
Packing/Labeling product for pick up or delivery
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines during food handling and preparation.
