Area Supervisor

Ross Stores, Inc. invites you to join as an Area Supervisor and lead store operations, safety, merchandising, and team development.

• Open, close, and oversee daily store operations and associate supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging shopping environment, including safety checks, emergency exit access, and loss‑prevention awareness.
• Execute merchandising best practices: product recovery, markdown compliance, back‑stock management, and front‑end presentation.
• Supervise front‑end activities: cash register training, line management, and associate performance coaching.
• Perform administrative duties: cash pulls, bank deposits, associate scheduling, payroll updates, and other manager‑assigned tasks.
• Apply competency behaviors: work‑process management, business acumen, collaboration, and effective communication.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and retail applications.
• Basic mathematical calculation proficiency.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime.

• Stand, walk, and move for up to 100% of working time.
• Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs (stockroom shifts: 20 lbs).
• Use janitorial equipment and other assigned supplies.
