Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team at First Cash pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

• Hourly wage: $12.95 to $15.95 per hour
• Commission:
  Earn up to 8% on transactions, potentially averaging an additional $1.94 per hour on top of hourly rate

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions
• Perform non-management open/close procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and display of the sales floor
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures
• Answer incoming calls per company standards
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience
• Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned

• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• Willing to work at exterior locations or retrieve products stored off-site as needed
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma or GED
• Strong desire to serve customers, be team-oriented, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during the interview process.

Payrates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements. Some notes:
Earned Wage Access is provided by Net Spend; enrollment is required with restrictions and fees. 401K program is available to employees 21 and older. Maximum base payrate is based on experience and skill. Management may assign duties as needed and arbitration may be required for disputes.
