Cafe Associate at Sam's Club

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00 per hour. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

You will make an impact by helping ensure high-quality products are fresh, ready, and available in the café; maintaining a clean and sanitized area; and delivering friendly member service.

• Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food, stock displays, and ensure products are fresh and available in the café.
• Maintain cleanliness, proper temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser-quality food products.
• Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and assist members with purchasing decisions and questions.
• Be a Team Member: maintain knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food, collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools and resources, and adapt to the needs of the business.
• Be an Expert: follow food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management, operate and sanitize equipment, and understand product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie: use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; utilize handheld technology for production, ordering, and training.
• Be an Owner: manage area performance, stocking, rotating merchandise, quality and date control, and assist members with needs and questions.
• Complies with company policies and ethics standards and applies them in daily work.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) preferred.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to work in a fast-paced café environment.
• Ability to adapt to change and work in different scenarios; team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Preferred but not required: experience with fresh food and basic food preparation.
