Who We Are
As a recognized leader in space science research and the development of spacecraft instrumentation, avionics, and electronics, we contribute to uncovering the secrets of our solar system and the universe.
Objectives of this Role- Lead original scientific studies in heliospheric physics using CoDICE on IMAP.
- Participate in multi-spacecraft analysis planning.
- Develop new ideas that advance understanding of the physical processes in the inner heliosphere.
- Collaborate with SwRI diverse research teams and publish in high impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate and carry out original research in experimental space physics.
- Publish original research in peer-reviewed articles and present results at relevant meetings.
- Support the science supporting the development of instruments to be flown on upcoming heliophysics missions.
- Interact with SwRI staff engaged in a broad range of observational, computational, and theoretical research in the physics of the heliosphere.
- Requires a PhD in Physics, Space Physics, Plasma Physics or a related degree field.
- 1-2 years:
Must be a recently graduated PhD with experience with Python or IDL. - A valid/clear driver's license is required.
This is a 6 month limited term assignment.
