Blue Pearl Emergency Pet Hospital in Stone Oak, TX is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our relief team. We are a busy Emergency-only practice searching for individuals who want to fill in when their schedules allow. We value upbeat individuals who can multi-task and advance their skills.

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases upon arrival and obtain vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique and positioning.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges for patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert the Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train other co‑workers.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
