Full-time: 3 day, 12 hour shifts

• Has 2+ years experience.
• Has exceptional technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiographic positioning, drug calculations, administer medications and fluids.
• Ability to handle, lift, and restrain animals (dogs, cats, pocket pets, etc.) and stand for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology.
• Has organizational and computer skills.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is willing to work weekends, overnights, and holidays.

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Triage emergency patients.
• Monitor hospitalized patients.
• Perform patient laboratory tests and nursing care.
• Assist vet techs and DVM with patient care, surgeries, and procedures.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Other tasks as assigned.
