Shift InformationThe position is full time, working M-F 6:30am-3:00pm. No call, no nights, no weekends, no holidays.

- Acts as patient advocate during the perioperative period by implementing a plan to protect them from injury, wrong site surgery, infection and retained instruments.
- Coordinates the patient’s care between providers and hospital staff.
- Supports the patient’s physical and emotional needs, while assisting the surgeon.
- Documents care provided accurately and completely, including interventions, equipment, and supplies.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Preferred EducationBachelor of Science in Nursing
Required SkillsBasic computer keyboard skills
Preferred SkillsMeditech proficiency
Required Licensure/Registration/CertificationTexas license as a Registered Nurse, certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Preferred Licensure/Registration/CertificationOperating Room (CNOR)
Preferred ExperienceOne year experience as a circulator in a hospital or outpatient surgery
