Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesAs a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the Clinical Decision Unit. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, provide compassionate, comprehensive care following nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, & Manage,” and act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. The role offers a Sign On Bonus (eligible with approval) and a Relocation Bonus.
Rotating nights (7 p‑m to 7 a‑m) begin on ER holding days with weekend shifts.
- Assess the patient’s condition during admission and at each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient’s medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action if an unintended response occurs.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse Texas License or Compact State License required.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- 1–2 years of emergency room or acute care nursing inpatient hospital experience.
