The Part‑Time Hospice Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering skilled, compassionate care to patients in their homes or residential settings. You will be a trusted guide for families, a clinical expert for patients, and a valued member of our interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide symptom management, medication administration, and comfort‑focused interventions
- Educate families on disease progression, care techniques, and available resources
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and hospice aides
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Participate in on‑call rotation as needed
- Offer emotional and spiritual support consistent with patient and family preferences
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (hospice or home health preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
