Job Description

Love your job and feel fulfilled as an In-Home Care Registered Nurse. Family Tree Private Care is searching for full-time, part-time and PRN RNs who are compassionate, value service and family, and desire to help the elderly. Nursing positions offer flexible schedules and a warm, positive, supportive work environment.

• Travel to assigned patient’s homes and manage their care plan according to physician’s instructions.
• Assess and document observations of the patient’s condition at each visit.
• Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs.
• Dress or redress wounds and assess healing progress.
• Educate caregivers and family on aftercare or ongoing patient care.
• Keep the patient comfortable through palliative care.
• Recommend tools or devices that may improve the patient s quality of life.

• Relevant license and certification
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• Strong candidates have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the home care industry (or related industry – hospice, home health, hospital, etc.)

• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust and provide high-quality care.
• Initiative to make independent decisions when required and to accept direction from patients.
• Ability to follow instructions and act independently when necessary.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently.
• Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments.
• Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, giving tube feedings, administering shots, and setting up and monitoring IVs.
