Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to policy, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of patient‑care quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalize nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
- Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; implement training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor according to patient‑care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification, Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or RN diploma – obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
