About the Unit:
- 8 bed Intensive Care Unit
- Patient to Nurse ratio 2:1
- Provides care for a variety of patients including cardiac, DKA, Respiratory failure, STEMI, Renal, etc.
- The physicians are highly engaged and provide 24/7 coverage.
- 1:1 mentorship with supportive, experienced staff.
- Many opportunities and educational resources including national certification support and tuition reimbursement.
- Highly supportive staff that provides numerous education training for new nurses and residents.
- Conducts multidisciplinary rounds with the interdisciplinary team in identifying safe and efficient critical management for high acuity acute care.
- Nurses take pride in pride in the TEAM environment and focus on the WHY of critical care.
What You Will Do In Your Role:
- Those interested in advancement will be invited to participate in our outstanding educational and leadership development programs.
- Manage clinically complex patients with multiple drips, access, and devices for critical care management.
- Actively involve and engage in family in the care of critically ill patients, and end of life care.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required
- Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required
- One (1) year of acute hospital experience as a licensed Registered Nurse strongly preferred
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required
