Infusion RN‑Float Homebase Downtown – The US Oncology Network
OverviewFull‑time, Monday‑Friday (8:30 am‑5:00 pm). No weekends, call or major holidays. The role supports the Downtown San Antonio, TX location.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care in accordance with established standards.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide education and instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction.
- Administer medications and blood products accurately.
- Obtain necessary pre‑authorizations and consent forms.
- Facilitate dose modification by evaluating labs and consulting protocol, calculating dose, and consulting physician.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- BSN or accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred). Minimum 0‑3 years RN experience.
- Entry, mid or senior level acceptable.
- Current RN state license and BLS certification.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
Physical RequirementsFull range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods; occasional lifts up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
