• Typical patient ratio of 8:1, supported by Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Work in an acute inpatient rehab setting with stepdown-level acuity
• Perform lab work, wound care, IV starts, and catheter insertions
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required; completion of an on-site attestation form is sufficient
• Consult and coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans
• Administer prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV) and document per policy
• Report any adverse medication or treatment reactions
• Educate patients on surgical and post-treatment care
• Record patient medical information, histories, and vital signs accurately
• Monitor and adjust specialized medical equipment; interpret and record readings
• Initiate corrective actions in response to adverse patient symptoms
• Provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post‑op
• Develop and implement patient education plans in collaboration with physicians
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures
• Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols
• Contribute to discharge planning and transitions of care
• Ensure timely and complete documentation of all care provided
• Perform other duties within scope of RN practice as assigned

• Minimum 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical
• Willing to work at facilities located between New Braunfels and San Antonio
  , including nearby areas like Converse, Marion, and Live Oak
• Valid Texas Registered Nurse License
• Ability to quickly adapt to a new team and setting
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
