Baptist Health System invites compassionate registered nurses to join our ICU team in San Antonio, TX.

• Under minimal supervision, provide nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse, matching patients’ needs with nurse competencies.
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Minimum Education
  :
  Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Preferred Education
  :
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum Experience
  :
  None.
• Preferred Experience
  :
  Two years in acute care; prior clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry or ICU.
• Required Certifications/License
  :
  Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Required Courses/Completions
  :
• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (adult critical care, telemetry, interim critical care units). Should be completed before end of orientation period.
• AHA PALS completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (pedi ICU). Should be completed before end of orientation period.
• AHA NRP completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (NICU).
• S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU‑ Level 2 Nursery—provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit. Renewal not required.
